Near the top of my pre-bucket list...was Egypt. We visited just before all hell broke loose in 2009. Words cannot adequately describe the majesty and marvel of Egyptian ancient sites such as: The Pyramids and Sphinx, Karnak, Citadel of Quaitbay (7 wonders-tower w/ reflective glass-laser, the base is left), Edfu, Philae, Kom Obo and Abu Simbel to name the main ones. There is nothing quite as enthralling as being in the presence of something, that could be extraterrestrial in origin. That belief comes around more easily upon talking to the guides, who explain, that physics and the tools of 5000-1000 BC, in conjuction with building certain sites, is impossible. So they knew something. These were lifelong local educated guides, scientists and archaeologists. To be there in person, see these marvels, hear them say that, really was a serious blow to a persons understanding of reality-which I liked!!
